About the Small Business Management Enhancement Tax System
The Small Business Management Enhancement Tax System is one of the support measures based on the “Act on Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency. Under this system, if small and medium-sized enterprises acquire specified equipment within a designated period and use it for designated business purposes, they can choose to apply for immediate depreciation or a tax credit of 10% of the acquisition cost (7% for corporations with capital over 30 million yen but not exceeding 100 million yen) for corporate tax purposes.
